Description

E7018 stick electrodes are designed to operate with either a power source that provides either an AC or a DC (electrode positive-EP or electrode negative-EN) current. E7018 electrodes provide the chemical. properties necessary for many structural. applications, along with the low hydrogen.

What is E7018 welding rod used for?

It can be used in all positions on AC or DC reverse polarity welding current. E7018/E7018-1 is recommended for welding medium grade carbon steels where no preheat is used, and on cold rolled steels normally exhibiting excessive porosity when welded with conventional electrodes.

Applications

  • Typical for pressure vessels.
  • Pipelines,ship buildings.
  • Wagons, coaches,earth moving equipments.
  • Atomic reactor shells.
  • Blast furnace steel work, penstocks.
