Application Method

1. The binder component is carefully gauged to provide for the primer application as well as mixing with the dry component to make the repairing mortar.
2. Carefully clean the surface which is to be repaired by wire brush to remove all the loose particles. Preferably wash the surface with plenty of water to remove all the traces of dust, oil or any loose particles which can affect the bonding of the repair mortar with the substrate. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly.
3. Apply the binder component thoroughly on the surface to be repaired as a primer.
4. After the milky colour of the coating has vanished, mix the remaining amount of binder with the powder component provided with the pack at the rate of approximately 1.1kg of binder per 5kg of dry component. The two components should be preferably mixed with a mechanical stirrer designed for the said purpose for around 5-10min. If mixed manually, mix it thoroughly and let the mixture to stand for around 15 minutes so the incorporated resins can be thoroughly dispersed throughout the mixture and optimum performance of the repair mortar can be achieved.
5. The mixed repair mortar may then be applied on the primed damaged floor surfaces. While application and handling, this mortar may be treated like any cementitious based mortar. It is therefore advisable that the application of the same may be carried out by any experienced/ skilled mason so as best surface finish and leveling may be achieved.
6. Hydrations/ curing for 2-3 days after application are advisable to getter better abrasion resistance and compressive strength.
7. For acid/alkali & solvent resistance, dust-free and anti-skid properties etc., coating of acrylic based, water borne floor coating Zahabiya Chemecoat AR-21 (Pigmented) or AR-21T (Clear) is advisable. Please refer its TDS for further detail.
